El Capitan Boot Screen Compatible Video Cards For Mac Pro 31
Nov 14, 2017 Graphics Card Upgrade for Mac Pro 1,1. Discussion in 'Mac Pro. I'm using Yosemite already and I'm not concerned about the lack of boot screen – I'm just curious which cards actually work with the 1,1 since there's conflicting evidence in some of the threads here. Tried all ports. Had been using Snow Leopard. I just upgraded to El.

32-bit vs 64-bit. Hi Casey - aye I did - well, I got the: MSI GeForce GTX 970 GAMING Twin Frozr 5 Graphics Card - 4GB - You will need the Nvidia driver - get the one specific to your system - Needs 2 power cables. (I think card came with a 6 to 8 pin converter) Needed another mac to screen share to activate the Nvidia driver (in sys prefs), as you get a blank screen using the osx driver - luckily you get a basic low res view from another mac even without a card in. Boxford cad cam design tools serial. Not a massive improvement but a useful upgrade for a future hackintosh;-) Let us know how you get on.
