Good morning guys, Picked up a pallet jack on the cheap from CL. Figured I could definitely use one in the shop. It was advertised that it needed some work.
Went and checked it out, nice unit, looked good for it's age - 1996 BT Lifter L2000-U. It would lift fine empty but wouldn't lift under a load. Got the unit home and started tearing it down. Quickly realized the steer wheels needed all the bearings replaced. Drained the jack, fluid was pretty nasty.
The only thing I could find wrong was a busted seal, or 'scraper', in the relief valve piston assembly. Ordered bearings and a complete seal kit of eBay. Once I get it all put back together, what's the best way to bleed this thing? The jack unit itself has 3 ports - relief valve, drain and fill holes. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk.
